    Cultural Awareness International is seeking to expand its network of experienced cross cultural facilitators to facilitate one or two day trainings for expatriates. Specifically, CAI are looking for experienced trainers in Venezuela as well as in Suriname.  They will also consider travel if nearby, however a local trainer is preferred.

    Job Description:

    This individual will:

    • Liaise with clients, trainers and training participants
    • Support program design by conducting needs analysis conversations with training participants
    • Demonstrate the CultureWizard online learning platform and the Intercultural Awareness Model© to training participants and trainers
    • Build country-specific presentations for trainers
    • Report to the Director of Intercultural Training

     Requirements:

    • An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
    • Impeccable writing and phone communication skills
    • Global education or professional background
    • Demonstrable professional work experience
    • Experience living, working or extensively traveling internationally
    • Highly organized, obsessive orientation to detail
    • Excellent technology and computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    Preferred Skills and Experiences:

    • Graduate degree in a relevant discipline
    • Knowledge of intercultural management theories or related studies, e.g. anthropology, behavioral psychology, sociology, etc.
    • Experience with training design and facilitation of learning materials
    • Familiarity with global relocation process

    The China Program Coordinator supports international students and scholars at CSU, with a focus on Chinese students who are part of CSU’s special partnership efforts with universities and high schools.  CSU’s Chinese student population has experienced tremendous growth in recent years resulting from special tuition support programs, dual degrees, short-term study, the INTO CSU program, and other collaborative initiatives with major Chinese partner universities and high schools.  This position will work directly with Chinese students, and offer programs and services that will enhance their experience at Colorado State.

    The position will also be actively involved in communications with prospective students, partners in China and throughout campus, to ensure effective recruitment and retention of international students.  The position will work closely with CSU faculty and staff to develop and implement programs and services, and act as a key liaison to facilitate the needs of students.  The position will provide administrative and programmatic support for China partnership activities including program planning, delegation support, support of research initiatives, support of the Confucius Institute at CSU, and other duties that support CSU’s growing efforts in China.     The China Program Coordinator will report to the Associate Provost of China Programs, and be a key member of the China Programs Unit within the Office of International Programs.     This position provides immigration related advising and support for more than 500 international students studying in the Intensive English Language Program at Portland State University including both IELP admitted and PSU admitted students. Advising responsibilities include, but are not limited to individual advising on immigration, personal and cultural adjustment matters and provision of immigration information to IELP students through a variety of channels. In addition to advising responsibilities, this position ensures proper reporting through SEVIS, the federally mandated international student tracking system; maintains files and monitors PSU’s required compliance with SEVIS reporting requirements and manages the SEVIS registration process each term, and administers benefits of F-1 student visa status. The position works closely with the IELP international student advisors, the PSU International Student and Scholar Services team and the IELP advising team.

    This position will function as the Director of the Office. The selected candidate will provide leadership and management direction for research and analysis in support of strategic planning and policy development, develops information and reports for federal funding sources, the Commission, the Governor’s Office, and the Legislature; responds to information requests from national higher education organizations; develops and implements policies, procedures, priorities and goals; ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws and policies of the Higher Education Coordinating Commission Agency, CCWD and the Oregon Workforce Investment Board; develops and oversees program performance, accountability, and evaluation activities; supervises support staff, and research staff.

    The Oregon Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development is scheduled on July 1, 2015 to become a department within the Higher Education Coordinating Commission agency.
