board of directors deib interculturalists leadership Nov 12, 2024Have you ever thought “What makes me think I could be on the SIETAR USA Board of Directors?” or “Why should I want to do that?” or “That’s not for me?” Too many people see a call for nominations and think: I don't have the time. (There is never enough time you just do it because it is important.) Many people dismiss nomination calls, thinking they aren’t qualified but we encourage you to reconsider.
Being on the Board has many benefits to consider! It provides leadership experience, it is an advantageous way to network with colleagues who understand your career choice, and it is a group that becomes a highlight in your support system.
Serving on SIETAR USA’s Board is an opportunity to see behind the scenes of this professional association and how it works. Plus, board leadership can boost your resume. As a board member, you will even have your name on the website.
This is an opportunity to give back to an important association in the Intercultural/DEIB world, and SIETAR USA needs you! We are accepting nominations for these important board positions:
- Director of Professional Development
- Director of Membership Outreach & Diversity
- Director of Sponsorship Partner Development
The SIETAR USA Board is a working board. You won’t be handed a committee, but you get to form your own. With their support, you can accomplish a lot. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership abilities.
